NVIDIA recently launched 2 new cards, RTX 5070 ($ 550) and RTX 5070 TI (50 750). This is a standard Nvidia launch, so if you want TL; Dr: Good cards, at a higher price. For more details (and we’ll be changing our chart), read …
Nice
- RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 TI have excellent performance, which easily destroys each game in 1440p, and most of the game in 4K. To kill 60 FPS you will only need to reject the settings in the most demanding sports in 4K.
- Both cards are energy efficient, and good thermal. 5070 (non-TI) is especially cool for a high-end card.
- Good energy efficiency means calm card.
Bad
- RTX 5070 is being marketed at 50 550. It’s high.
- RTX 5070 TI is being marketed for $ 750. It’s too high!
Ugly
But wait, even worse, and yes, it’s still a price! As these new cards were launched, they went out of stock, without any consideration of the price.
5070 TI is 750? No, it’s out of stock, even when being sold for US $ 1100! 50 550 5070 40 740 and still sold!
The MSRP is a joke, the availability is submarine, and I am very sad.
Moving forward
Both Nvidia and AMD have launched two cards. All four are good, all four are better than all the first alternatives in the price range, and so we are adding the four to our main construction chart. As far as availability and MSRP are concerned … well it is a catastrophe, but time heals all the wounds. AMD options (RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT) will receive a dedicated post this weekend. But now I can tell you already:
- RTX 4070 will be removed from this Outstanding And Excellent Level
- RTX 4070 Super will be removed from this Extraordinary Level
- RX 7800 Xt will be removed from this Outstanding Level
- RX 7900 Xt will be removed from this Excitement Level
- RX 7900 XTX will be removed from this Radical Level
- Will be added to RTX 5070 and RX 9070 Outstanding Level
- RTX 5070 TI and RX 9070 XT will be added to this Extraordinary And Excitement Level
Let’s hope that these cards will soon be in stock for MSRP. We’ve suffered considerable losses! And yes, this section of the post has been deliberately copied from the article that discusses the start of two new cards from the competition.
