‘Red Dead Redemption’ PC Release Info

Rockstar Games has finally announced the long-awaited arrival of Red Dead Redemption on the PC.

Available on Steam and the Epic Games Store starting October 29, the game has been tweaked for the PC platform to support native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitors with 21:9 and 32:9 sizing, HDR10 and keyboard and mouse functionality. “There’s also support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings, and more,” Rockstar confirmed, noting that it had teamed up with Double Eleven to enhance the beloved game.

In addition to the release of the regular version of Red Dead, the game’s Undead Nightmare DLC — which sees the game infested with zombies — will be included as part of the PC purchase.

The original Red Dead Redemption was released in May 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and followed the story of outlaw John Marston who must hunt down three members of his former gang in exchange for the safe return of his wife and son. The game went on to take home several awards including Game of the Year and is widely considered one of the best video games of all time. It was followed up by a prequel, released in 2018, and focused on Marston’s fellow gang member Arthur Morgan.
